Bates will host the SoccerMaine State Cup games for the first time this Sunday, April 28. The tournament will bring a slate of five games to Garcelon Field, headlined by the Under-17 State Cup Final at 12:20pm.

Critchlow ’03 to be inducted into Concord-Carlisle H.S. Hall of Fame

Bates alum Jeff Critchlow ’03 will be inducted this coming May into the Concord-Carlisle (Mass.) High School Sports Hall of Fame. Critchlow played both soccer and lacrosse at Bates, and is parlaying some lessons learned as a Bobcat into a successful career.

Murphy named Player of the Week by NESCAC, ECAC

The NESCAC has named John Murphy its Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, on the heels of the senior captain’s brilliant performance in the Bobcats’ 2-0 week. On Tuesday, Murphy additionally picked up ECAC Division III New England Offensive Player of the Week honors.
