May 17, 2013	Pless leads Bates to third straight ECAC outdoor crown The Bates College men’s track and field team won its third consecutive ECAC Division III Outdoor Championship on Friday, while senior David Pless launched the seventh-farthest shot put in Division III history and junior Jarret McKallagat established a team record as well in the 110-meter hurdles.

May 4, 2013	Men’s track edges MIT for first NED3 outdoor title The Bates men’s track and field team won the 2013 New England Division III Outdoor Championships for the first time on Saturday, dramatically edging MIT by one point after winning the 4×800 relay race in record time.
May 3, 2013	Pless, Hardison, Hannan score big at New Englands What a start to the New England Division III Outdoor Championships for the Bates men’s track and field team. In the second day of limited action at the meet, the majority of which takes place at Colby tomorrow, Bates won three event titles and scored a whopping 42 points.
April 30, 2013	Men’s track hauls in 15 All-NESCAC honors Bates senior David Pless won his second straight Sabasteanski Award as Most Outstanding Male Performer, headlining the Bobcats’ haul of 15 All-NESCAC awards, officially announced Tuesday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
April 27, 2013	Men’s track wins six events, finishes second at NESCACs Host Tufts didn’t allow the Bates men’s track and field team to repeat as NESCAC champions, but the Bobcats neverthelesss had an outstanding meet, winning six events en route to a second-place finish Saturday at the NESCAC Track & Field Championships.
April 20, 2013	Men’s track wins 11th State of Maine title in 12 years Bates College won the 114th edition of the Maine State Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship for the fourth straight year, and for the 11th time in the past 12 years, outscoring runner-up Bowdoin by 84 points on Saturday at Russell Street Track.
April 13, 2013	Pless breaks team shot put record at MIT Quad meet Bates senior David Pless won three events and broke his own team record in the outdoor shot put, as the Bobcat men’s track and field team put on an impressive performance at the MIT Quad meet on Saturday.
April 8, 2013	Pless named NESCAC Field Performer of the Week Bates senior David Pless captured his third Field Performer of the Week awardin NESCAC Men’s Track & Field on Monday, announced by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
April 6, 2013	Men’s track competes at Princeton, Fitchburg State David Pless defeated 13 other competitors, including 10 Division I athletes, in the shot put to highlight the Bates men’s track and field team’s first excursion to Princeton University. Meanwhile the bulk of the team competedat Fitchburg State, where Bates placed second among 11 collegiate teams.
April 5, 2013	Men’s track competes at Princeton invitational Making its first trip to the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton University, the Bates men’s track and field team had six athletes competing well in four different events in Friday’s action.
April 2, 2013	Contemplative champion Pless featured in Sun Journal Lewiston Sun Journal columnist Kalle Oakes captured the Bobcat champion, now just two months away from his graduation, ruminating about his past and future in a poignant story published in the newspaper’s March 31 edition.
March 30, 2013	Men’s track nearly tops Maine, UNH in outdoor opener Bates won nine events, including three by David Pless, in finishing three points shy of Maine and one point behind New Hampshire at a tri-meet in Orono.
March 10, 2013	Pless wins 3rd NCAA shot put title; Bobcats place 5th Watch video of David Pless establishing himself as one of the greats in NCAA Division III track and field history as he claims his third consecutive NCAA indoor shot put title on Saturday, March 9.
March 8, 2013	Pless places second in the weight throw at NCAAs David Pless became the second seven-time All-American male athlete in Bates College’s history, as he took second place in the weight throw at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday.
March 7, 2013	LePage, McCauley featured in Portland Press Herald Bates teammates and former high school teammates James LePage and Mark McCauley, fellow natives of Cumberland, Maine, would be making the trip to NCAAs together had illness not intervened.
