March 4, 2013	Men’s track to send record eight athletes to NCAAs The Bates men’s track and field team will send a program-record eight athletes to compete in seven events to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, as the accepted entries were announced Monday morning.
March 2, 2013	Men’s track takes full advantage of Last Chance Bates senior David Pless broke his own team record in the weight throw, and the distance medley relay team and sophomore Sean Enos likely clinched trips to next week’s NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, in an exciting day for the No. 8 nationally ranked Bobcats at the Tufts Last Chance Meet.
February 23, 2013	No. 7 men’s track is tops in Division III at Open N.E.’s The No. 7 nationally ranked Bates men’s track and field team scored points in the shot put, hepthathlon and 800 meters on Saturday to finish ninth among 32 point-scoring teams at the all-divisions Open New England Championships, and first among Division III teams.
February 22, 2013	LePage breaks 83-year-old team record in the 800 Bates senior James LePage broke the oldest record in the men’s track and field team’s history on Friday night at Open New Englands at Boston University, running 800 meters in 1:51.59 to eclipse the former team mark of 1:51.74 set in 1930 by Russell “Ossie” Chapman ’31.
February 16, 2013	Pless breaks New England records in weight, shot Bates relinquished the team title to MIT, but David Pless set meet records in both the weight throw and shot put at the New England Division III Men’s Indoor Championships Saturday at Bates.
February 15, 2013	Wainman, Hardison start NED3 meet off right in heptathlon Bates sophomore Eric Wainman and senior captain David Hardison got the Bates men’s indoor track and field team off to a strong start Friday as the New England Division III Men’s Indoor Championships got started with the first four events of the heptathlon.

January 26, 2013	Pless breaks own Bates record in shot at BU Two-time NCAA champion David Pless registered a new personal best and broke his own Bates record in the shot put on Saturday at the Terrier Invitational at Boston University, topping 61 feet.
January 19, 2013	Men’s track and field second only to Div. I Black Bears The Bates men’s track and field team claimed second place only to the University of Maine at Saturday’s six-team Bates Invitationa, winning three events along the way.
January 12, 2013	Men’s track and field wins ten-team Tufts Invitational The No. 8 nationally ranked Bates men’s track and field team opened the 2013 indoor season by claiming first place out of 10 teams at the Tufts Invitational.
January 11, 2013	Men’s track and field No. 8 in preseason rankings The Bates men’s indoor track and field team is ranked eighth in the country, and first among teams in the Northeast, in the preseason Division III national team computer rankings released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

July 24, 2012	Men’s track boasts three USTFCCCA All-Academics David Hardison, Ben Levy and Andrew Wortham of Bates’ men’s outdoor track and field team were named to the USTFCCCA Division III All-Academic Track & Field team, announced Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
May 31, 2012	Men’s T&F/XC finishes 4th in Program of the Year scoring The Bates men’s track and field and cross country teams finished fourth in the scoring for the the 2012 USTFCCCA Program of the Year award, given to the institution that had the best combined team finishes in each of the NCAA’s cross country/track & field sports in a given academic year.
May 31, 2012	Wortham earns CoSIDA Academic All-District honor Bates junior Andrew Wortham has been named to the 2012 CoSIDA/Capital One Division III Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Track/Cross Country Team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday.
May 26, 2012	Pless finishes fourth in shot put for sixth All-America honor Bates junior David Pless (Atlanta, Ga.) won his sixth career All-America honor on Saturday, and the second of the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, by placing fourth in the shot put.
May 24, 2012	Pless takes third in discus at NCAAs; Wortham in steeple final Bates junior David Pless placed third in the discus throw on Thursday evening, his first of three events at the three-day NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held at Fritz Burns Stadium at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Junior Andrew Wortham qualified for the finals in the 3,000 steeplechase.
