Godsey ’06 finishes fifth in hammer at U.S. Olympic Trials

Keelin Godsey ’06 came very close — about a meter — to realizing his Olympic dream on Thursday. Needing to finish among the top three out of a field of 24 athletes, Godsey went 70.48 meters, exactly one meter past his previous career best, to finish fifth in the women’s hammer throw at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

Scholar-Athlete Society inducts six alumni, 33 from Class of 2012

The eighth annual induction ceremony of the Bates College Scholar-Athlete Society was held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, during Commencement Weekend, honoring four alumni, a former administrator and 33 members of the Class of 2012. The event’s keynote speaker was Steve Fuller ’82, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at L.L. Bean, who is also a Bates parent and trustee.

Crampton, Bettles become two-time All-Americans at NCAAs
