Order the latest MS Office suite for either Mac (2008) or Windows (2007) from eAcademy - as this takes 7-10 days to deliver, consider having it mailed to your Bates address, instead of sent home.
- Update your Windows XP operating system to SP3, and other needed express updates, this process can take up to an hour or more
- Lost your e-mail password and need it before returning to campus? Please fax us a Sponsored Password Change Form (with picture ID).
- If you already have an anti-virus program, Update your anti-virus program for the latest virus definitions. If you need anti-virus protection (Windows required): Download and Install Sophos Anti-Virus for: Windows / Mac

Passwords:
First Year Students received their Password Change Tokens in the packets mailed out the beginning of August. Logging into the Password Manager (from the Hot List Menu) gives you the opportunity to create your own Bates Password which will be used for e-mail, network access, and other Bates network services.
Returning students should look for reminders to change their password in their e-mail. Passwords are required to be changed each year.
