Monks split with baseball in 11-inning nightcap

Saint Joseph’s College broke a 0-0 game open with five runs in the top of the 11th inning to win the second game of a doubleheader against the Bates College baseball team, 5-0, on Wednesday at Leahey Field. The host Bobcats won the first game by a 4-1 score.

Red-hot Endicott comes back to tip baseball, 4-3

Trailing 3-0 for much of the game, Endicott scored three times in the eighth inning and then loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth before Colin Sitarz took a four-pitch walk to force in the winning run, as the Gulls defeated Bates 4-3 on Monday afternoon.
