2008: Started 26 of 27 games played…. Batted an average of .430 (37-86) with two homeruns and 18 RBIs…. Ranked third on team for runs scored (20)…. Earned a .581 slugging average, a .495 on-base percentage, and a .990 fielding percentage with 184 putouts and 11 assists…. Went 2-4 and scored three runs in an early-May game against Middlebury…. Bates Scholar Athlete Award recipient and member of the NESCAC All-Academic team.
2007: Started all 29 games…. Hood once again lead the team in home runs (3), RBIs (21), and slugging percentage (.480). In April, Hood went four for five–driving in two runs–in a game against Colby College. He concluded the season with a batting average of .324 and stolen base count of five…. Named NESCAC All-Academic.
2006: Exceeded the previous Bates single-season hits record of 43, with 44…. Hit .370 with an on-base percentage of .442, recording team highs in home runs (3), RBIs (28), runs scored (26) and slugging percentage (.520).
2005: Played in 23 games for the Bobcats as a rookie, starting 21, and becoming a fixture in the lineup by the later part of the season … Made first career start against Framingham State … Hit .291 for the season … Had team best 1.000 fielding percentage—did not make an error in his 176 attempts … Third on team in RBI (14) … Fifth on team in hits (25) and total bases (32) … Had career best game against Fisher College when he went 5-6 with 5 RBI and hit his first career home run, boosting his career batting average more than forty points
