In accordance with the Bates College Student Government Bylaws

(Article I, Section 4)

March 24, 2014 – 7:00PM | Meeting Room: PGill G65

**Quorum – 41

 

A. Committee Reports

a. Vice President of Student Clubs (Julian Bardin ‘16)-

-Bates Buddies:

-ORB approved Bates Buddies

-Bates Buddies has been functioning without actually being a club for a while

-Club passes (41-0-0)

 

b. Vice President of Student Committees (Tenzin Namdol ‘15)-

-Committee interviews:

-COC is finishing the interview process for committees

-Decisions will be made and announced around Tuesday, April 1st

 

c. Treasurer (John Stansel ‘15)-

-2014-2015 Budget:

-Still do not know if they will get more money to allocate – Dean Goundie will let the Budget Committee know shortly

– $5,000 in grievance fund

-All club budgets cut around 4%

-Budget passes (38-1-1)

 

**Quorum – 35 (several students left)

 

B. Officer Reports

a. Parliamentarian (Allen Sumrall ‘16)-

-Constitutional Amendments:

-Couldn’t vote on amendments because we didn’t have ⅔ of RA present

-We will try to vote on those amendments next time
