What You Should Know When You Are Contacted By Recruiters
Bates faculty and staff members have consistently demonstrated unwavering support for students and alumni. Our students enjoy rich experiences in the form of joint student-faculty research projects, participation in academic conferences, teaching assistant opportunities, and work-study programs, just to name a few.
Employers with job opportunities sometimes choose to contact professors or other staff members to seek referrals for top candidates. While it would seem natural for faculty and staff to share leads on students who would make ideal matches for employers, the College does have a responsibility to follow best practices for maintaining an environment of equal employment opportunity.
