Business School (MBA)

Bates alumni interested in pursuing business school typically decide between pursuing a Master’s in a specialized area, such as finance, accounting or marketing or pursing a traditional two-year M.B.A. degree. There are other options which exist including an Executive M.B.A. for professionals who wish to fit their studies into current careers while continuing to work, often full-time.

On-Campus Math Skills Review for GRE/GMAT 
The Math Workshop will be offering a series of review sessions for students who wish to review the math and quantitative reasoning skills required for the math portion of the General GRE  and the GMAT.

Offered on Sundays  from 2-4pm and Thursdays from 7-9pm in Hathorn 100

Sun 9/27:   Take a Practice Test to identify topics that need additional review
Thurs 10/1:   Basics: order of operations, decimals, percents, exponents, and radicals
Sun 10/4: Algebra: algebraic manipulation, quadratic eqs, word problems, equations with two unknowns
Thurs 10/8: Geometry Part I: points, lines, angles, triangles, circles
Sun 10/11: Geometry Part II: quadrilaterals, polygons, 3-D figures
Thurs 10/15:   Data: basics of data analysis
Sun 10/18 at 7pm: Practice Test

The review series will be conducted by Emily Kafka. Please RSVP to Grace Coulombe ( by NOON on Friday 9/25 so that we can ensure that we have an adequate number of practice tests for 9/27.
