Maine Track Early Assurance Program
Maine Track Early Assurance Program offers successful applicants from Bates, Bowdoin, Colby and the University of Maine system, acceptance into the Maine Track of Tufts University School of Medicine at the end of their sophomore year. As long as accepted applicants continue to fulfill all eligibility requirements, they will be guaranteed a seat in the entering medical school class two years later as part of the Maine Track program. Applications for the Maine Track Early Assurance Program will be available through Professor Lee Abrahamsen and Karen Daigler typically in early December.
Participants in this program are offered the assurance of medical school admission without the substantial investments of time and energy that other premedical students typically make in the process of preparing for optimal scores on the MCAT exam and applying to numerous medical schools. Program participants are free to explore other areas of interest during the remaining time of their academic careers, broadening their college experience. Students accepted into the Maine Track Early Assurance Program are not required to sit for the MCAT examination prior to matriculation.
