Class of 2012 Postgraduation Outcomes

Class Statistics as of December 31, 2012

The Bates Career Development Center (BCDC) surveyed the Class of 2012 at graduation and again in December 2012 to determine the students’ postgraduation plans. Data were collected through email and through the Cap and Gown Survey, a pen-and-paper survey administered when seniors collected their caps and gowns
just prior to graduation. Six primary categories were established to identify students’ plans after graduation:

  • Offer Accepted (employed full or part time)
  • Graduate/Professional School
  • Fellowship
  • Internship
  • Other (includes military, volunteer, self-employed and travel)
  • Still Seeking Employment
