Troubleshooting CCAA (Windows)

If Cicso Clean Access Agent has granted you Temporary Access,  (45 minutes to do one of the following processes linked below) press Continue, and one of the following Names will appear, needing your attention in order to pass:

A. Windows up to date - link on how to do the updates from Microsoft (CCAA needs SP 3 downloaded and installed this Fall in order to pass)

B. AntiVirus Installed - how to install Sophos

C. AntiVirus UpToDate - how to update your anti-virus program

If your web browser is not opening to the download page for CCAA at all (http://cas.bates.edu) the SNAP Authentication page, then check the following:

It may be that your wireless access is being controlled by your wireless cards software. Changing your settings to allow the Windows Zero Configuration to control your wireless may help.

To adjust wireless settings:
Click on the Wireless network icon located in the system tray

The Wireless Network Connection windows will appear with the following message.

Under Related Tasks along the left hand side of this window, click on the Change advanced settings link.

This will open the Wireless Network Connection Properties window.
  1. Click on the Wireless Networks tab
  2. Check the Use Windows to configure my network settings box
  3. Click View Wireless Networks button

The Bates Wireless Network should be visible now. click the Connect button to attach to the network.
