Jewish High Holy Days 2013

The student group Hillel is planning the schedule for the High Holy Days. There will be a student rabbi on campus, visiting from Hebrew Union College in N.Y.C., to lead services.

Rosh Hashanah: Thursday Sept. 5
10:00 a.m. – Rosh Hashanah Service, Muskie Archives 201
7:00 p.m. – Rosh Hashanah Services, Muskie Archives 201 (Due to the start of classes, this will be the longer and main Torah service.)

Second Day of Rosh Hashanah/Shabbat dinner: Friday Sept. 6
4:30 p.m. – Challah baking, Office of Intercultural Education
5:00 p.m. – Taschlich, at the puddle
5:30 p.m. – Service at the Office of Intercultural Education
6:00 p.m. – Shabbat second day of Rosh Hashana dinner, Office of Intercultural Education

Erev Yom Kippur: Friday Sept. 13
7:00 p.m. – Service for Kol Nidre night, Mays Center

Yom Kippur: Saturday Sept. 14
10:00 a.m. – Morning services for Yom Kippur, Muskie Archives 201
5:00 p.m. – Yizkor service, Muskie Archives 201
6:00 p.m. – Break fast dinner, Chase Hall 133 (high ceiling room)
