Buddhist Meditation

Facilitated by the Dharma Society (student group). Beginners welcome.

Shabbat Evening Services and Dinner
6:00 p.m. – Shabbat Evening Services, Office of Intercultural Education, Chase Hall
6:30 – 7:30 p.m. – Shabbat Dinner, Memorial Commons, Chase Hall
A gathering sponsored by the Bates Hillel for parents, guests, and students to celebrate the Jewish Sabbath. Please rsvp for the dinner when you register for the weekend here.

The presider is Father Paul Dumais, Bates’ Associated Catholic Chaplain, a priest in the Prince of Peace Parish of Lewiston. All are welcome.

Interfaith Service
11:00 a.m. – noon
A simple, reflective, interfaith service composed of musical offerings, a brief reflection from a parent, readings from religious and secular traditions, prayers and intentions. All are welcome regardless of religious affiliation. Sponsored by the Bates Multifaith Chaplaincy.

The Peter J. Gomes Chapel is open daily from 7 am – 7 pm.
The Muslim Prayer Room, Hindu Shrine and Buddhist Meditation Room are located in Chase Hall. Chase Hall is open to the public 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. (7 a.m. – 2 a.m. with student card access).
