Sexual Violence Processing Group
The Sexual Assault Victim Advocate (SAVA), Bekah Snyder and Multifaith Chaplain, Brittany Longsdorf, are facilitating a confidential Sexual Violence Processing Group for students. If you or someone you love has experienced sexual violence in one way or another and you are looking for a safe space to process the emotions associated, this may be the perfect space for you. This is also a space to come if you are simply overwhelmed by the culture of sexual violence that affects our everyday lives.
This is an inclusive group that allows for space to process any form of sexual violence. This includes but is not limited to sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and sexual harassment.
Sexual violence can affect our physical, emotional, psychological, and sexual health; social lifestyles; and spiritual practice. The group is a safe space to give and receive support, reduce social isolation, and to process within a community.
If you are interested in attending please come to our first meeting on March 1st in the Multifaith Chaplaincy Common Room (upstairs of 163 Wood St, all the way down the hall). This group will meet every other week in March at 6:30 PM.
RSVP via email is encouraged but not required. If you have any questions or would like additional support before the first group meeting on 3/1 please don’t hesitate to contact us at Bekah firstname.lastname@example.org or Brittany email@example.com.
