There are many forms of transportation available to clubs. The Office of Campus Life enables student groups to engage in activities outside of the Bates campus. Please find important information about traveling as a student group here.
The Office of Campus Life reviews and approves overnight trips taken by BCSG-recognized clubs. Overnight travel undertaken without approval from or registration with Campus Life is not recognized as official college business and will not be the responsibility of Bates College, financially or otherwise. Such trips will not be able to be paid for using club funds.
The Office of Campus Life provides guidelines, resources, and support to clubs wishing to host speakers, performers, and protests on campus.
Fundraisers are approved by the Office of Campus Life, and must comply with Bates accounting policies. To ensure that a planned club fundraiser meets all of these guidelines please complete this form.
The safest way to avoid any form of miscommunication when hiring a professional for their services is through a contract. The Office of Campus Life helps clubs craft and review contracts.
All movies and TV shows that are shown outside of a private setting must have an appropriate license. The Office of Campus Life can help with the license acquisition process. Please find the form to start this process at the link above.
An excellent way of marketing your club’s events is through the many TV screens around campus. The process to have your image hosted around campus is incredibly simple and images can be submitted here. Just make sure they are 1920 x 1080 pixels!
