Training Program

Counseling & Psychological Services at Bates College is welcoming potential applicants for advanced doctoral practicum and Master’s-level internship training at our site for the 2019-2020 academic year.  We are also open to post-doctoral residents and would be happy to discuss what we can offer to anyone interested in pursuing that here.

We have launched our training program this current academic year with a post-doctoral fellow and we are excited to expand our training program to include Master’s-level interns, and advanced practicum doctoral students as well as post-doctoral candidates.

Counseling & Psychological Services supports the students of Bates College by providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, outreach, Let’s Talk and other services to our student body.  Trainees would have opportunities to engage in all of these activities and would be supervised by licensed mental health providers.

Our training program is flexible and can be adapted to meet the needs of students, fellows and program-specific requirements.

If you are interested in learning more about our training program, please contact John Rumney, Associate Director at 207.786.6200, or at jrumney@bates.edu
