Lyceum Workshops: August 2011

Tuesday, August 16

10 – 11 AM: Introduction to Lyceum (Coram 110)
Lyceum, the College’s course management system, allows instructors to publish digital course materials on the web. This session will provide an introduction to and overview of Lyceum (http://lyceum.bates.edu) and is intended for new users who plan to teach with the system for the first time during the fall semester.

1 – 2 PM: Lyceum Studio (Coram 110)
A drop-by session intended for any one using Lyceum in the fall semester. During the session, you will be able to consult individually with the staff of Curricular and Research Computing who will help with any aspect of Lyceum.

Wednesday, August 17

10 – 11 AM : Lyceum Gradebook (Coram 110)
Lyceum includes a gradebook tool that allows instructors to record, calculate and post grades online. This workshop will guide participants through the steps involved in setting up and configuring a course gradebook in Lyceum.

1 – 2 PM : Lyceum Studio (Coram 110)
A drop-by session intended for any one using Lyceum in the fall semester. During the session, you will be able to consult individually with the staff of Curricular and Research Computing who will help with any aspect of Lyceum.

Wednesday, August 31

10 – 11 AM : Lyceum and Audio: Introducing Nanogong (Coram 110)
Lyceum includes an easy to use audio recorder and player called Nanogong. This session will demonstrate how Nanogong works and will explore some of its curricular uses.

1 – 2 PM : Lyceum Studio (Coram 110)
