The Androscoggin Data Project

Bev Johnson from Geology in collaboration with Kat Stefko at The Muskie Archives and CRC/ICC is spearheading an initiative to capture water quality data for the Androscoggin River from the Walter Lawrence Papers.  Lawrence was the State water quality official for the Androscoggin from 1949 until 1977.  A sampling of the data have been scanned, and run through OCR software to convert them into digital form.  Those digital data will be processed into a searchable database beginning in the summer of 2009.
