Mapping and GIS

Geographical information systems (GIS) are computer-based systems for geographical data presentation and analysis. They allow rapid development of high-quality maps, and enable sophisticated examination of spatial patterns and interrelationships.


Projects

Climate Change Stories instructor, Elizabeth Mueller, used Story Maps, an ArcGIS Online web application, to juxtapose dynamic satellite imagery with long form written and spoken narrative on the impact of climate change in Maine.
