Commons Dining Options
Bates Dining offers a variety of selections daily to accommodate students’ needs. We realize every person has different preferences, and we strive to provide every student with healthy and enjoyable meal choices. On a daily basis you can expect the following options at each meal.
At every meal we have a basic variety of foods available. Not only do we provide over twenty different types of cereal, but we also offer bagels, fresh fruit, granola, low-fat yogurt, non-fat cottage cheese, peanut butter, jelly, preserves, honey, crackers, margarine and cream cheese (low-fat and regular). There are also dozen types of juice, a variety of milks, coffees, teas, as well as fountain beverages.
Whether you’re on the go or ready for a hearty start to your day, Bates Dining has many options to offer you. We offer eggs, egg beaters, eggs and omlets cooked to order, hot cereals, a hot entree and the breakfast bar daily. At the breakfast bar you will find a large selection of fruits, donuts, fresh baked pastries, muffins, bread, Eggo waffles and bagels. We also have over thirty varieties of cereal at our cereal bars and a wide selection of juices and milks.
We offer two soups (one vegetarian), deluxe salad bar, deli bar, three hot entrees (one vegetarian), marche station (exhibition food cooking station open Monday through Friday), hot vegetables, pizza, pasta and an assortment of desserts such as cookies, brownies, squares and frozen desserts from our soft serve machines.
At Dinner you’ll find two soups (one vegetarian), salad bar, three hot entrees, a vegan bar, a hot off the grill item, pizza bar, (Tuesday-Friday), pasta bar, home made desserts, plus frozen yogurt and soft serve ice cream.
