Sexual misconduct comprises a broad range of behaviors that will not be tolerated in the Bates College community. Sexual misconduct violates federal and state civil rights laws and may also be subject to criminal prosecution in addition to action taken by the college. The college is committed to fostering a community that promotes prompt reporting of sexual misconduct and timely and fair adjudication of sexual misconduct cases. Creating a safe and respectful environment is the responsibility of all members of the college community.
