Associate Dean of the Faculty

Works with departments in the division of humanities and the division of social sciences on faculty workload, curriculum, temporary hiring, and other issues. Assists the VPAA/Dean of the Faculty at meetings of Division Chairs and Department/Program Chairs. Works with the faculty First Year Seminar and Writing Committee on the General Education curriculum and requirements around writing at all levels. Works with the Director of Writing, on development, support and assessment for student writing and faculty teaching of writing.

Works with faculty, faculty and staff on the First-Year Seminar Program, advising, the Sophomore Experience, faculty development around pedagogy, the Honors Program, and Graduate Fellowships.
