Challenges in International Trade Policy in an Age of Growing Trade Skepticism

On March 27, 2017 in Pettengill G21 at noon, Dr. Keith Maskus, Chief Economist of the U.S. Department of State talked on the “Challenges in International Trade Policy in an Age of Growing Trade Skepticism.”

Dr. Keith E. Maskus is the Chief Economist (an Assistant Secretary-level position) at the U.S. Department of State, where he leads research and analysis on a wide range of international economic and security topics relevant to U.S. foreign policy. These include global economic growth, financial stability, sanctions, trade, energy and climate change. He also represents the Department at Numerous bilateral and multilateral fora on economic and security issues. Maskus began the position in October 2016 and is on leave from his position as Professor of Economics at the University of Colorado Boulder.
