Library & Computer Services
The Ladd Library maintains an online Subject Guide on Economics . This is an excellent source of information. It explains how you can locate any of the materials in the library which deal with economics, including journal articles, economics handbooks, bibliographies, statistical sources and Government documents. You should consult this guide when you begin any economics research project.
The electronic database econ-lit is accessible from the library homepage.
The field of economics depends heavily on computers to perform calculations for modern statistical methods and they are used extensively in the statistics and econometrics courses. Later courses build upon and develop these techniques. Economics students make heavy use of the computer classrooms in Pettengill Hall. Information Services publishes several handouts and guides for using computers.
