Library & Computer Services

Library services

Ladd Library maintains an online Subject Guide on Economics . The Subject Guide explains how to locate many of the materials in the library related to economics, including journal articles, economics handbooks, bibliographies, statistical sources and Government documents. You should consult this guide when you begin any economics research project.

EconLit, also available in the Subject Guide, is an important database of published Economics research. It is an important resource whenever conducting your own research or literature review.

Computer services

The field of economics depends heavily on computers to perform calculations for modern statistical methods, and they are used extensively in the statistics and econometrics courses. Later courses build upon and develop these techniques. Economics students make heavy use of the computer classrooms in Pettengill Hall. Information Services publishes several handouts and guides for using computing resources at Bates.
