Trip Description
Maine has some of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast. Georgetown is located in on the southern Maine coast and is one of the premere surfing spots in Maine. Enjoy 4 days of surfing on the coast of maine all while camping in Sagadohoc Bay. This trip is meant for all levels of experience; whether you’ve been surfing for years or have never seen the ocean before. Camp by night and surf, relax, and explore Georgetown by day.
Kate Hubbard
Kate rose from the depths of sunny southern California on April 11, 1993. She escaped the as many would call “perfect” weather to voyage 3,000 miles away into the Dirty Lew. Though many mistake her as a small child, she is a junior majoring in Economics and Studio Art. During the year, you’ll likely find her at the commons ice cream machine, sledding down Mount David, or attempting to exercise.
Dan Bak
Hey there! My name’s Dan and I’ll be leading the Surfing Aesop trip with Kate. I’m 20 years old, from Vermont, and studying Biology, going Pre-Med. I am also a certified surfing instructor, self-proclaimed fire building expert, and collectively, Kate and I have been surfing for over 60 years (don’t bother working out the math in your head, it’s an impressive number). I’ve surfed all over the world, and I look forward to catching some waves with you. I’m familiar with many of Maine’s different surf spots and will be happy to either teach you to surf, or just surf with you if you’ve already got some experience. I’m really looking forward to an awesome trip and helping you get familiar with Bates.
