Mooselookmeguntic I (Formerly Squam Islands I)
Mooselookmeguntic is a new trip this year that will be a relaxing amphibious trip exploring all corners of Mooselookmeguntic Lake and the Western Foothills of the picturesque Rangeley region. Canoeing days will be spent journeying around the lake and the many small islands in the Stephen Phillips Preserve. Two days hiking in the Lakes Region allows for great views of Saddleback, Rangeley Lake, and the eastern edge of the White Mountains along with plenty of swimming in Smalls Falls!
*Mooselookmeguntic I & II share the same itinerary, but are run in opposite directions.
Julia Rabin, aka the social butterfly of Bates College but be careful cats, cause she can read minds (psychology major). In her spare time she represents her home state by playing the Oregon Trail. Most might not think it’s a sport, but she’s a pro at running around in circles as a varsity athlete. She was raised by wolves and sharks have a week dedicated to her, CAUSE SHES THAT COOOOOOOL. Also, she has championed the 13.1 mile mark. #realtalk
On a less serious note, she keeps me in line to some extent. Her awesome attitude and wiliness to help anyone illustrates why she will make AESOP 2013 memberable. Plus, we are like grilled cheese and tomato soup, the perfect combination for leading the most uber trip evaaaaaaa. Between the two of us, your AESOP experience will be unforgettable.
Tim Campbell, what a guy. From his ugly basketball shoes to his sad little attempt at a beard I guess he could be considered fly. Either way, this New Hampshire born boy could win a prize in the quirkiness category. When he isn’t out throwing a little plastic disk around (I guess he plays that classic college sport called Frisbee), you can always find him in Carnegie, getting excited over little insignificant rocks (product of a geo major), or in pgill, distracting everyone and himself from their work. Plus he has won the life time achievement prize twice.
In all seriousness though, Tim is possibly one of the nicest most fun people to be around. Between his constant silly jokes and his knowledge of the outdoors, we are bound to have a good time. Yay for Squam!!
