Hey Bobkittens! I’m Sophie, and I’m a rising Junior from Potomac, Maryland majoring in Psychology and Studio Art at Bates. On campus, I’m a tour guide and admissions special events coordinator, the VP of Photo club, a member of Bates Dems, a radio DJ for WRBC aaaand I do a lot of volunteer work. I have a tendency to only eat the marshmallows out of Lucky Charms, I have a huge crush on Ryan from the O.C., and I have an addiction to online shopping. My spirit animal is a cross between a bunny and a dolphin, and if I could bring back anything from the 90s, it would probably be slap bracelets. Or fanny packs (don’t pretend they aren’t practical). I’m super stoked to be leading an AESOP with my bud Bobby and to spend a few days frolicking (/trekking) through the beautiful mountains of Maine, eating endless Chewy bars, gazing at the stars, and getting you excited and ready for an amazing first year at Bates!
Sup you guys! I’m Bobby, I’m a rising junior, I’m from West Hartford, Connecticut, I’m majoring in economics, and I’m double minoring in Math and Music. On campus I’m known as “that piano dude” (because I play piano in multiple bands on campus, and I make money accompanying people taking voice lessons at Bates). I’m also known as “the kid who can rap fast” (because for my freshman talent show I rapped “Look at Me Now” by Chris Brown), or “Shmobs” (somehow this last nickname has caught on in my a cappella group). I’m very involved with music on campus, but I also play intramural basketball, softball, and I won the intramural championship last year in soccer! Oh yeah, and did I mention I’m youtube famous?! Well kinda… not really. Check out me accidently dropping a tree on my house! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv3GJWf0g30
