Presidential Range Traverse II

Trip Description

What better way to start a fresh beginning before college and meeting your classmates by working together to scale New Hampshire’s highest peaks? The Presidential Range includes the highest peaks in the Northeast and by taking this trip you will trek up Tuckerman’s Ravine, and summit Mt. Washington, Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Clay, Mt. Madison, and maybe even Mt. Adams. This hike calls for experienced hikers who are able to keep up with the strenuous trek over the Presidential Range of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. This string of summits offer spectacular panoramic views and you will never get bored of the trail, seeing that nearly half of this traverse occurs above tree line. Joining forces with the opposing Presies trip on the second night out strengthens friendships and allows for the opportunity to meet more Batesies. You won’t be disappointed with your decision to embark on this journey!
Mileage: 19.5

*Presidential Range Traverse I & II share the same itinerary, but are run in opposite directions.

Grace Pezzella

Grace Pezzella is a Junior History major coming all the way from Newburyport, MA… but that’s where the normality ends. This mountain girl will be spending her summer high up in the Whites (the very mountains that you could be hiking on AESOP!) at the AMC Lakes of the Clouds hut. There, she cooks for and tends to weary hikers. Having had many of Grace’s culinary creations, I can promise you that Presies II will be the best-fed AESOP….ever.

Euan Howard-Sorrel

Euan Howard-Sorrel is a Junior English aficionado with a knack for smooth a cappella stylings. He loves cars, skiing, and being from the UK. An energetic nature enthusiast, Euan is an outdoor safety pro and also great with parents. He loves assigning people their spirit animals, so if you’ve been wondering, look no further. Quick to share elaborate stories and generate laughs, Euan’s presence as 1/2 of the Presies dream team will ensure that we’re all a little family in no time.
