Mt. Blue I
Mt. Blue State park in Weld, ME offers camping on the shore of Webb Lake that will provide ample opportunities to remain refreshed in the heat of August. Situated on the other side of the lake is 3,187-foot Mt. Blue, a popular day hike and a great opportunity to test out your hiking boots! You may even get the chance to hike up Tumbledown Mtn. on one of the days and take a dip in the alpine pond near the summit. So definitely bring your suits and boots because this trip will be full of swimming and hiking!
*Mt. Blue I & II follow the same itinerary.
In West Philadelphia, born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days. Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool and all shootin’ some bball outside of the school….kidding. I have no hand/eye coordination. Also, I’m from Belmont, Massachusetts. Other than that, I swear everything is true! At Bates, I’m a Politics and Sociology double major. I spend tons of time working for the Admissions Office, and also volunteering with kids in Lewiston/Auburn. I love everything about the 90s, and I’m pretty sure I was supposed to be a Spice Girl. I also love wondering about things that are impossible but fun to think about. For example, what if there were still dinosaurs? I get it, it can’t happen, but just think…”let’s go to the grocery store! Wait, shoot. It’s 7 pm and that’s when the tyrannosaurus rex populations feeds. Too dangerous, we’ll go tomorrow.” Crazy, right? AESOP will be wicked awesome, and I can’t wait for you to be a part of it!
Hi. My name is Andrew No. Yes. No. No really it’s No. Yeah. Ok. So. I come from the glorious city of Denver, Colorado, and I’m a sociology major here at Bates, which means I’m about to get a degree in being social (I’m hoping four years is enough training…) I spend time playing on the ultimate frisbee team and love spontaneous activities and our trip is perfect for that…spontaneous extreme snacking anyone? I look forward to meeting all of you guys and let’s GOOOOOOOO!
