Evan’s Notch I

Trip Description

This base camping trip is nestled between Maine and New Hampshire within the White Mountain National Forest. Day hikes along the the Baldface and Royce ranges consists of a string of peaks, all well under 4000 feet tall, but still provide spectacular views of Mt. Washington and moderate to difficult days of hiking. You will be sure to take a dip in Emerald Pool before stopping in North Conway, NH for ice cream!

*Evan’s Notch I & II share the same itinerary, but run in opposite directions.

Saebyul Choe

Hey bobkittens! I’m Saebyul the Sabertooth Tiger. I am a rising senior here at Bates and I am from Queens, NY. I am currently studying geology, yes, I know… ROCKS. I am super pumped about our trip. It is going to be fun, adventurous, and a wonderful experience. Trust me, I know so. So, about me: I am in Environmental Coalition, Outing Club and Ultimate Frisbee. On the side, I do a bunch of baking.
I can’t wait to meet you all next summer/fall. I hope you’re excited too. Until then, have fun but not too much fun, and always use sunscreen, Saebs.

Connor Regan

Hey guys I’m a local Mainer, a Junior and a skier on the Bates nordic ski team. I’m also an avid outdoor enthusiast. I’m so stoked to be leading Evan’s notch this year because I’ve been exploring and skiing this area of the north east since my childhood. I also love Aesop more than anything else at Bates; its so much fun and in my opinion a must do. Finally, I love eating Saebs home made Cookies, there amazing!
