Evan’s Notch II
This base camping trip is nestled between Maine and New Hampshire within the White Mountain National Forest. Day hikes along the the Baldface and Royce ranges consists of a string of peaks, all well under 4000 feet tall, but still provide spectacular views of Mt. Washington and moderate to difficult days of hiking. You will be sure to take a dip in Emerald Pool before stopping in North Conway, NH for ice cream!

Hey guys! I’m Maddy, I’m from Wellesley, Mass, and I’m a rising junior bio major at Bates. Embarrassingly, I’ve never read or seen a Harry Potter book/movie in my life, but other than that I’m mostly a normal person. I also am a huge fan of the Packers despite having lived in Boston my whole life. At Bates, I spend most of my time in Commons, where I have honed the skill of procrastination to perfection. Jackson and I met on our aesop freshman year, and we have been training for this summer with nightly campfire and s’mores sessions ever since.
Sup crew, welcome to the last trip page you should click on. I’m Jackson, a West Roxbury Massachusetts native going into my junior year at Bates this fall as a Classical Medieval studies and Economics double major. Although known around campus as an intramural champion of a wide variety of sports (indoor AND outdoor soccer), I try not to let my natural athletic ability define me. Off the soccer field, I enjoy hanging out with friends, listening to great music (Nickelback anyone?!?!?) and modeling for the school’s admissions brochures (I’ve turned in an appearance or two). You’ve already made one awesome choice in choosing to come to Bates, now make another and sign on to Evan’s Notch II.
