Our Mission

It is a common generalization that a great education will lead to a great career. The truth of the matter is more nuanced: to make professional use of your education in today’s job market, you will need expert guidance and the development of a deep network of contacts with alumni, faculty, staff, and recruiters. It is the mission of the Bates Career Development Center to assist you with just that. The BCDC will work closely with you on the basics of career exploration to ensure that your Bates education will lead to a fulfilling career.

  • Explore an array of career options through experiential, hands-on learning combined with industry research
