Career Counseling

BCDC career counselors are available to meet one-on-one to explore career options, critique resumes and cover letters, conduct mock interviews, and utilize various resources to assess your interests, skills and personal characteristics; counselors are available to meet with you by appointment and during regularly scheduled walk-in hours.


Career Peers

Through workshops, events and walk-in hours, current students who have been selected to serve as career peers partner with the BCDC staff and students to offer advice and suggestions in one-on-one and group sessions; meet with a career peer to launch your career exploration process.


Career Resources Library

Hundreds of online and hard copy career resources are readily available.


Workshops

The BCDC provides myriad programs on and off campus throughout the fall and spring semesters to both inform and allow you to explore your options.


Employer Information Sessions and Interviews

The BCDC partners with employers to conduct information sessions and on-campus interviews throughout the academic year


Internships and Jobs

We actively solicit and receive hundreds of internship and job opportunities in virtually every industry and field; searching for available opportunities that are of interest to you is simple through the use of our web-based recruiting site, JobCat.


Graduate and Professional School

The BCDC team of counselors is well equipped to walk you through the steps involved to help prepare you for Health, Law and other graduate studies; each fall, the BCDC hosts nearly 100 graduate school representatives at an annual graduate school fair and through individual school meetings/sessions.


Fellowships, Scholarships & Grants

We partner with the Graduate Fellowships Advisor to help you prepare your applications for many prestigious programs.


Career Advisory Network

Bates alumni volunteer as career advisors to share their own career stories and provide advice and guidance.
