Hey! My name is Daly and I’m a Bates enthusiast who has a passion for boat shoes, all male acapella, and the great state of Maine. My hobbies include people watching in Commons, contemplating a major in psychology, and asking my friends to clean my room. I hail from right outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and I miss the temperate weather only mildly. I aspire to teach my AESOP Bobkittens everything they need to know about Bates, graduate on time and go to nursing school, and but most importantly to become the proud owner of a teacup pig. When asked to describe how excited I am to be leading Habitat for Humanity II, I believe that esteemed R&B artist LL Cool J says it best: “It’s hard to control myself.”
Hi everyone! My name is Julian Bardin but you can call me Dévonté. I come from just outside NYC (Westchester = Bestchester), but have lived and grown up in Malibu CA, Taos NM, Paris FR, and Madison CT (so a little of everything). I’m a sophomore looking to double major in politics and studio art with a minor in French, but we’ll see how that goes. An avid L&O: SVU fan (if you get it, you’re my best friend), I enjoy spending my time driving around in my grandma’s car Bessie (she’s a Toyota Camry and no she can’t accelerate, steer, or stop) and reciting every movie and television fact on Earth. I’m super excited to meet all the Batesies coming in and show you guys the ins and outs of the College, like how to sneak food out of commons, how to get the Den to know your order (trust me, they know mine), and how to pull off Vineyard Vines pajama pants and Bean Boots on a Sunday (soooo Maine). Look forward to meeting y’all…get excited for Bates!
