International Students

Please note: this site will be update soon with revised information for the winter 2014 semester.

Exciting, challenging, stimulating

For the 2010–11 academic year, over 100 international students representing 66 countries are enrolled at Bates College. There are an additional 30 students who have resided for a significant period of time in other countries. The Dean of Students Office and the International Student Advisor Office have extensive contact with each of these students.

As the International Student Advisor office for the College, we know and work closely with the 120 international students who are citizens of countries outside of the United States.

We will welcome, introduce, and inform you to the college, the communities of Lewiston and Auburn, and the state of Maine. We also help with visas, I-20′s, and other government documents, guidelines, and recommendations.

Throughout the school year, you will hear from us in many ways: through e-mails, newsletters, and meetings.  We also invite you to visit, call, or e-mail us, any time.
