Visiting home
There are six vacation periods during the year.
International Students may stay on campus during each of them, however, you may need to move to a designated dorm or house for the length of the break. Dorms open for each break are posted in the Housing Office in Lane Hall. You will be contacted on details for each break prior to the beginning. The International Student Advisor’s office assists International students during each break.
| October Break | Oct. 19 to 23, 2011 |
| Thanksgiving* | Nov. 19 to 27, 2011 |
| Holiday Break* | Dec. 17, 2011 to Jan. 9, 2012 |
| February Break* | Feb. 18 to 26, 2012 |
| April Break* | Apr. 14 to 23, 2012 |
| Summer | May 25, 2011 to Sept. 5, 2012 |
Students cook their own meals during the starred breaks (*). For the other breaks, the dining hall is open. Transportation is provided to purchase groceries. Students on campus during vacation enjoy cooking together in groups.
Students working on campus during the summer may pay per week to stay in college houses. Since those students staying on campus during the summer no longer have the option of cooking for themselves, Dining Services will provide meal plan packages. There are several packages to choose from with pricing to be determined.
The International Student Advisor can be helpful with vacation planning, whether you are staying on campus or traveling off campus.
