Our primary task is to develop a 5-year plan for environmental initiatives at the College, and to indicate who will be held accountable for implementing various aspects of the plan. Working from the Bates Environmental Policy, we will create an administrative structure that upholds it and provides a way to move effectively towards a sustainable future. As part of this structure we anticipate redefining the role of the Environmental Coordinator, and developing a search committee to fill this position.
