Rothkopf

HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates College senior Samantha Rothkopf was named to the 2009 NESCAC Field Hockey All-Conference Second Team, the New England Small College Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday.

A four-year starting back for the Bobcats, Rothkopf (Chicago, Ill.) was noted for her fierce competitiveness and hustle, as well as perhaps the hardest shot on the team. She scored one goal on the season.

Over her four years, Rothkopf started 51 out of 56 games, scoring eight goals and adding eight assists with three defensive saves. Four of her eight goals were game-winning goals.
