Gaëlle Nubul, B.A Université de Paris XII
After obtaining her B.A. in 2005 in English literature, language, and civilization from the University Paris-Est Creteil (Université Paris XII), Gaëlle left France for England and spent one year as a French assistant at the Brit School for Performing Arts and Technology. This experience confirming her taste for teaching, Gaëlle returned to her native island of Martinique to become an English professor. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in English literature and language at the University of the French West Indies and Guiana (Université des Antilles et de la Guyane). Interested both by urban cultures and the impact of visual images, her thesis addresses representations of women in videos of Jamaican dancehall. Gaëlle is equally passionate about literature, music, dance, and cinema.
