This course investigates processes of modern glaciers, evidence for past extent and causes for glacial-interglacial climate variability. In the laboratory students are introduced to glacigenic sediments, field mapping and stratigraphic analysis of glacial deposits in field sites associated with continental and alpine glaciation of northern New England.
