GEOLOGY S38 : GEOLOGIC AND BIOLOGIC FIELD STUDIES IN THE CANADIAN ARCTIC

This unit examines the biology and geology of a field site in the eastern Canadian arctic. Research focusses on glaciology, snow hydrology and sedimentation in fjords, inlets and lakes and adaptations of terrestrial and aquatic plants and animals to survive in the arctic. Emphasis is placed on relations between biological and physical processes. (See Prof. Will Ambrose, Biology s38).
