Required Approvals

The approvals required for any external grant depend on a variety of factors, including the funding source, the proposed activities, the support requested, etc.

An external grant proposal may be subject to review by any or all of the following offices prior to submission: the President’s Office, Dean of Faculty, Division and Department Chairs, Treasurer’s Office, Human Resources, Information and Library Services, and Facilities Services, IRB, IACUC, etc.

When completed, the External Grants Routing Form will automatically determine what approvals are needed and send a request to the relevant approvers to review and approve the proposed grant application.
