Established by the Honors Committee
Nomination Forms for admission into the Honors Program will be sent to all Department and Program Chairs mid-September. Hard copies of the Honors Guidelines will be provided to all involved Chairs, Faculty Advisors and Candidates once Nomination Forms have been received. (In the interest of paper conservation, other interested parties may request a copy, and it will also be available on this website in downloadable PDF format.) HONORS NOMINATION DEADLINE
Deadline for nomination of May 2013 graduates to the Honors Program. Any nomination after this date will be refused unless the Honors Study Committee grants an exception. Recommendation forms, indicating Thesis deadline, must be submitted to Academic Services.

Orientation in New Commons, Room 221, 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Honors Thesis nominees will gather to meet members of the Honors Committee, receive information and have a Q&A session.

HONORS THESIS ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Deadline for candidates to submit a titled, one-paragraph description (250 words maximum) of the thesis to be included in the Honors Abstract Book. One-paragraph descriptions must be submitted as Microsoft Word in an email attachments to academicservices@bates.edu.

CORRECTED THESIS AND THESIS CORRECTION, ACCESS, AND EMBARGO FORM DUE
No later than 3 PM, upload the final copy of the Honors thesis on SCARAB. For instructions, see Appendix B, page 16 of the Honors Program Guidelines at

No later than 3 PM, submit a copy of the Thesis Correction, Access, and Embargo Form sighed by the advisor and candidate to Academic Services.
Advisors should check with potential Outside Examiners regarding their availability for the pertinent exam period before submitting a Nomination Form.
