R2523 – Lecturer in Anthropology

The Bates College Department of Anthropology invites applications for a sabbatical-replacement position for the 2013-2014 academic year, beginning August 1, 2013.

The position will be an .8 position ending in mid-April 2014. The ideal candidate will teach  Interpretive Anthropology and three additional courses. The research focus is open but the department encourages applications from candidates able to offer courses in medical anthropology, immigration, Arab/Muslim world or Latin America. A Ph.D. with teaching experience is preferred, but ABDs will be considered.  Review of applications will begin April 8, 2013 and continue until the position is filled.
