Accessing BANNER 8
To access Banner simply enter banner.bates.edu in the address line of your browser (Internet Explorer is recommended).
Enter your ID and your Banner password (leave database blank) and press Enter.
The first time you launch Banner 8, a new JInitiator file will automatically download to your PC. This takes a couple minutes so please be patient. Subsequent connections will be much faster.
In Internet Explorer, to avoid inadvertently closing your Banner session, you must go into Tools/Internet Options…/Advanced and uncheck “Reuse windows for launching shortcuts.”
