Information and Library Services offers VPN (Virtual Private Network) software to Faculty and Staff who need to access network resources from off campus. The VPN software can only be installed on Bates owned computers.
With the VPN software you can access file servers, printers and licensed software.
- While using the VPN software, all network traffic travels back to campus and then out to the desired destination. This may make certain web sites slower than normal.
- Please be sure to disconnect from the VPN when not in use. This is a shared resource with a limited number of simultaneous connections.
