The Bates College Institutional Portfolio is a collection of facts, links, and stories that help us to give you a better picture about the College, its values, and the accomplishments of its students, faculty, and alumni. 

It attempts to answer the types of questions that should be asked by both internal and external audiences.  Who are we?  What do we say  we do? What evidence  is there that we accomplish  what we claim to do?

To provide  some answers, we have organized information and research, both quantitative and qualitative, from existing web pages from many areas of the College.  We believe that the accomplishments of Bates students, faculty and staff, and alumni cannot be summarized in a single measure or statistic.  The Portfolio will serve as a form of "report card" about Bates College.
