Writing at Bates
Because Bates has such a commitment to writing, you’ll be required to take 3 writing-attentive courses, beginning with a first year seminar and culminating in a senior thesis. Writing at Bates views the sharing of writing and thinking-in-progress as a proactive and exciting part of your academic experience. Throughout your four years, you will have the support of both peers and professionals for feedback on writing.
