11th Hour Resources for Mt. David Summit and Honors Thesis

Deadlines for Honors Thesis and the Mount David Summit are right around the corner.

Here are a pair of 11th hour resources that can help you make a strong dash to the finish line:

Amelita_galli-curciCopyright and Fair Use:

Date: Monday, March 17
Time: 4 PM
Place: Ladd 148

If you would like to make your honors thesis or Mt. David presentation available on the web and you are using other people’s work — images, sound files, text, survey instruments, etc. — Chris Schiff will be available on Monday March 17 at 4 PM in the Ladd Library instruction room (148) to help you.

Want to make sure you are providing enough of an example to support your point, without using so much that you might need to restrict access to your final product?  Stop by to hear general copyright guidelines, and/or for an item by item analysis of things you’ve used in your project.  No questions too big, or too small!

Thesis Swat:

Date: Wednesday, March 19
Time: 6 – 10 PM
Place: Ladd Collaborative Tech Table

Ladd Research Services, Help Desk, and Writing at Bates staff offer quick consults on your practical questions about citations, bibliographic details, manuscript formats, printing, and more.

Joanne Cole from Writing and Speaking at Bates, Laura Juraska from Library Research and Lee Desidario from the Help Desk will be available to provide immediate feedback for your last minute questions.

Bring your laptop, your materials, and your questions!
